Franco Santino was a favourite of mine in the stable when he was racing. His gentle nature and kind soul made me fall in love with him, we bonded very quickly.

I always dreamt of getting him after racing but because of how well he raced I thought it would never happen.

Unfortunately with abit of age on board he developed a few niggles and his owner decided it was best for the horse to be retired from racing.

Much to my delight I was offered him, which I couldn't refuse. The owner knew the horse would be very well cared for and loved.

After a good spell I took him to his first show inhand where he got champion and went for supreme.

He caught the eye of many and I can't wait to see what he can do in the showring.

He was Southland Harness Horse of the Year 2020 and I'm pretty sure he is going to amaze us in the showring. 

I feel so lucky to have got him and I have recently started riding him. He is just an absolute gentleman.
