Shadow, a 10 year old pacer, had 27 starts, with two 3rds, one 2nd, and two wins.

Despite his success as a speedster, he is known as Mr Slowpoke, and is our go-to ride for nervous guests who want the slowest horse we have.

Although he still packs a punch when asked to change gears with more confident riders, and has the smoothest canter around, once you get him out of his pace that is.

Arriving unbacked just two weeks after his final race, he soon adjusted to life under saddle. Four years later, he is often my lead horse, a role he has really grown into throughout our years together.
