I was a Mum returning to riding when I bought Shane for $600 from a local girl who rehomes racehorses.

I just had a good feeling about him and trusted my gut.

Since then we have had a few mishaps but we spend our days hacking out and about with my daughter and her TB. We enjoy a spot of trekking, and he has come a long way.  

He’s a sensible guy (sometimes) and tries his best!  

He is a stunning horse and despite being a bit of a grump most of the time there’s just something about him which makes me think I’ll keep him around.

You just can’t beat a Standardbred!
