HRNZ's Covid Reminder - March 15
HRNZ Reminder - Covid 2022
If you are feeling unwell, have symptoms of Covid-19 or you or a household member have tested positive to COVID 19 you must not be attending race meetings, trials or work-outs.
Please follow the Government guidelines and isolate until you have had a negative test.
"We understand that these are difficult times " says Harness Racing New Zealand's General Manager - Racing Catherine McDonald, "but this is a reminder of what we have to do, and that's looking after the participants in our sport to ensure we are able to continue to race in the coming months."
"Please think about your fellow drivers, trainers, stable hands, owners, club members and others who you put at risk if you attend the races when unwell."
Those attending races/trials/workouts must be double vaccinated, provide a vaccine pass, wear a mask, scan the Covid tracer app, and stick to your assigned bubble and social distance where possible.
"At this stage we are not doing RAT tests on any license-holders on-course but if we find out that people aren't abiding by the rules that could well be the next step."
"What we are asking," says McDonald. "is for people to work together to keep themselves safe so we can keep our sport going in very trying times."
