In form Bond team ready to fire

by Jonny Turner

With his team in great form, Lyndon Bond is a trainer to follow at Young Quinn Raceway on Sunday.

Bond lines up four horses across a nine race card, including both Step It Up A Notch and So Art I in race 5.

Step It Up A Notch could not have been more impressive in his last start maiden win at Winton last week when powering away from his opposition to score.

The three-year-old doesn’t look to be taking a big step up in class when he meets an even line up.

So Art I comes into the same race with her form tapering off.

But having met stronger fields in the past, the four-year-old would rate a threat if she brought her best effort.

Step It Up A Notch opened at $4.80 fixed odds for race 5 before being backed into a $2.50 price.

So Art I has been rated a $10 win chance and at $2.70 place odds.

Fast Whispering has produced ultra-consistent form since joining the Bond stable and will seek due reward in race 6.

The seven-year-old ran second at Winton on Thursday, only knocked off late by Top Pocket Chance.

Fast Whispering opened at good eachway odds of $6 and $2 with TAB bookmakers.

Beez Neez will be out to notch a winning double at Young Quinn Raceway in race 7.

The five-year-old scored nicely on the track last week and lines up again in a similar rating bracket this week.

Beez Neez has been rated the third fixed odds favourite for race 7 at $5 win and $1.70 place odds.
